Q: Email Photo help

I Have a iPhone 6+ running 9.2. I have an issue where my phone won't open picture messages on my phone. When a file is sent in a "medium or small" size it works fine if the picture is sent with "large or actual" it won't load. It gives me a white screen and says "image_### .jpg and has the file size under it"

i have tried it with and without wifi on, I've reset my phone,

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.2

Might you be using Mail Drop?
Mail Drop limits - Apple Support

Whether you are using Mail Drop or not:
iCloud: Download or open email attachments

Thanks Sberman, However this did not help. We are not using drop box.

A co worker sent a picture from his updated iPhone 6 to my phone and he selected the file to be sent as a Large image. It will not open, i get this.

When the same exact photo is sent from the same exact phone formatted in the Medium size or smaller it works perfectly.

Your original post said "... .jpg and has the file size under it." I did not see the file size in your screen shot above.

How large is the file?

Have you tried clicking on the attachment? What happens when you do that?
