cannot connect to iTunes store

So I'm getting the "cannot connect to iTunes store " message on my iPad air 2 with iOS 9.2. Steps I have tried: Log out of iTunes on the iPad Air2, iPhone, and MacBook Pro. Change date/time to a future date, restart of all devices. I am able to sign in to iTunes on other devices but NOT iPad. Strangely, I tried to back-up iPad to iCloud and got a message saying I had not backed-up in over 22 weeks(!). Any suggestions?

It sounds like you have done some good troubleshooting for your iPad not being able to connect to the iTunes Store.

I'm guessing it does get to the Internet, just having connection issues with the store.


The primary article for iTunes Store connection issues does give another step you haven't mentioned (please make sure your date and time are now current).

6. Reset your Wi-Fi router by turning it off and then on again.
