Q: Windows 8 MacBook Pro Drivers

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch Early 2015 model with El Captain installed on it. I'm having problems with the drivers that I need to run Windows 8 properly. I've used Boot Camp Assistant to install Windows, but it didn't download the drivers it gave me an error then aborted the install. Well during it aborting the install I actually closed it by mistake. Surprisingly the partition that it made was still there. Then I booted into the Windows installer and installed Windows with no errors. But now I need the drivers for my MacBook Pro (Obviously I don't have them.) I am able to run Windows fine, just messed up resolution and no WiFi connectivity.

Hope someone has the correct drivers for my mac.

Thanks, ~ Nathan

You can download BC drivers using BC Assistant as often as you like.

Please be aware that these are v6.x drivers. If you need older drivers, please see Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support, which can give W7/W8+ drivers, if you need them. 2015 Macs are better supported with BCA-downloaded drivers.

That also didn't work it just gave me an error with the Network connection. I'm actually gonna need a download link or something of that sorts.

My MacBook Pro doesn't have a Ethernet port and I don't have any adapters for it.

As a test, can you download https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier and run it to download drivers for your specific Mac model identifier? The Model identifier (-m qualifier) can be found by using About This Mac -> System Report -> Hardware.

    Here is an example.

    ./brigadier -h

    Usage: brigadier [options]

    Options:

-h, --help            show this help message and exit

      -m MODEL, --model=MODEL

System model identifier to use (otherwise this

machine's model is used). This can be specified

multiple times to download multiple models in a single

                            run.

-i, --install         After the installer is downloaded, perform the install

automatically. Can be used on Windows only.

      -o OUTPUT_DIR, --output-dir=OUTPUT_DIR

Base path where the installer files will be extracted

into a folder named after the product, ie.

'BootCamp-041-1234'. Uses the current directory if

                            this option is omitted.

-k, --keep-files      Keep the files that were downloaded/extracted. Useful

only with the '--install' option on Windows.

      -p PRODUCT_ID, --product-id=PRODUCT_ID

Specify an exact product ID to download (ie.

'031-0787'), currently useful only for cases where a

model has multiple BootCamp ESDs available and is not

downloading the desired version according to the post

                            date.
