Q: On iPhone, iMovie video files went to iCloud. Now download has failed and projects are lost?

My iPhone sent video files to icloud. in the past I could play the video and it would retrieve them (slowly, eventually).

Now, imovie will not download the files. I can see them there in the list of downloads. If I try to get them by clicking on an individual video file, I get error message: image.png

help! We spent a month touring the US and our precious videos are stuck!

No solution here — I was just bitten by this. I had made a project with about a dozen short clips. I went to my photos app, deleted an unrelated video, and she. I returned to iMovie all the videos were on iCloud and not locally anymore. All but one downloaded successfully (but why did they even move?!), except for one that keeps giving me the same error. iOS 9.3, latest iMovie version.

Same problem as everyone here.  I am going to officially end my iCloud account.  It has been far more trouble than it is worth.
