Q: photos not uploading to the i cloud,

Hi guys

i own an  i pad air I 32gig  and an 8 gig iphone 5 c, both have latest ios, the phone has very little storage remaining and the pad is half full.

my 5gig of free cloud storage was full and after apple repetedly bugging me to change my storage plan, i purchased a 50 gig per year package.

my credit card was expired so i used my wifes card,

the first thing i noticed was that my profile name changed to my wifes name, i have since remedied this and retuned to my own name,

this is the main  problem, i see a notification that i have 150 photos on my phone uploading to the cloud, nothing has changed in three days, despite toggling the settings on and off liike apple suggests, the photos are not uploading, a similar situation is taking place on the pad.

whats going on?

many thanks

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.2

It sounds like a network issue vs an Apple issue.  Mine (over 7000 photos/videos) took several days too to upload.  I know you mentioned this was occurring on 150 photos so you may want to consider logging out of all your iCloud devices, waiting a few, then logging back in.  You could also employ this method which helped me as well -- Use the Photos library repair tool - Apple Support

    HI Zinacef

    thanks for your help,

after mucho head scratching and cussing i discovered that despite toggling all the correct options, photo back up to the cloud will not start unless you find the "back up`" button which is sandwiched between keychain and wallet in i clod settings on ios , then   ignore the fact that its enabled already, enter in to its menu, and physically press back up now to get things moving, i have never seen this option before, my photos did ok on their own, the app suggests that the device needs to be locked and charging etc, but both my devices are uploading without power at the moment, and why this did not kick in over night when the phone is charging and locked for the last few days is an indicator that  apple has a glitch here.

thanks again  and happy new year
