Q: iMessage is no longer working on iPad 3rd generation

I can no longer send or receive text messages or iMessages on my 3rd generation. when i go to settings iMessage and enter password nothing happens.

iPad, iOS 9.2

Hello jojacobus,

I understand that you are having issues sending SMS and iMessages on your iPad. Let's go over some troubleshooting to get that sorted out.

I would start with taking a look at the settings on your iPhone to make sure that you have setup everything for Continuity. This will ensure the Text Message Forwarding is set up properly and that you should be receiving them on your iPad. Take a look at the first article to go over those settings.

Another thing to look at is the second article. It will have a wide variety of options to get you back up and running with sending messages from an iOS device.
