Q: Blue 'smudges' on my Macbook Pro display --- what is the root cause?
I have started noticing a set of blue "smudges" on my Macbook Pro display, but only when the display is showing dark images.
For example, if I were to look at a website that has a dark background, I see weird blue marks that always remain in the darker areas. I think this seems to be caused by internal changes to the display rather than any type of typical smudge on the surface of the screen. It's almost as if some pixels inside the display are only showing blue when the screen is dark. With a white or brighter image, they seem to disappear. In addition, the 'smudges' do not appear when the screen is off. I've had my Macbook Pro since July, 2015. There are no damages to it, and it is very much in pristine conditions. What can be wrong here? How can I get this fixed?
Thanks!
