Apple's new slogan "The only thing that’s changed is everything.", and so has my bill! With the new ios update, I went from using 2gb of data to 5.41 gb in a month. My bill went up $30!

My coworker said the new update adds this hidden toggle way down at the bottom of Cellular setting (after all the applications) that is turned on by default with the new update. He said that is what is running up my data plan. Well I tried turning that off too and my data is still running up.

How does my data triple when I'm not doing anything different. Is Apple in cahoots with Verizon and other carriers to run up our plans by adding additional settings that no one knows about until it is to late?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.2

Hi ncstatebmw,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I'm sorry to hear you have been having these issues with your iPhone after a recent update. I'm unclear exactly what hidden toggle you may be referring to; possibly WiFi Assist? If you are having issues with unusual and unexplained data usage, you may find the information and troubleshooting steps outlined in the following articles helpful:
