Q: When trying to compose a new message I keep getting the error message that the phone number is not registered with iMessage.

When trying to compose a new iMessage I keep getting the error message that the phone number is not registered with iMessage. It has been working in the past. Any suggestions as to what the issue is? Thank you.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

If you are getting an error message that "the phone number is not registered with iMessage", I would suggest taking a look at this article and make sure that your iPhone number and Apple ID are linked to use iMessage.
