Hi

It should not be necessary to pair your Apple Watch manually. Check that you are following all of the instructions here as appropriate, if necessary including under "Get help" in the first article:

If you still wish to pair your Apple Watch manually, then tap on "Pair Apple Watch Manually" on your iPhone during step 3 of the setup process (as detailed and pictured in the first support article) and then follow the further instructions that are shown on your iPhone.

If your Apple Watch is unpaired according to your iPhone, but not according to your Apple Watch, then you will need to erase your Apple Watch manually (see the second article above) in order to be able to re-pair it (there is no way around this).

Hi

Before starting this process, you may first need to reset your watch:

- On your watch, go to the Home screen (via a single press on the Digital Crown) > Settings (cog icon) > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings.

You may then be able to follow the standard pairing process (via the pairing animation).

Otherwise, in order to pair your watch manually - including to see the "i" icon whilst doing so - you can then follow these steps:

  • Wear Apple Watch on your wrist and choose a language.
  • Separately on each device, tap on Start Pairing (on your iPhone, do this within the Watch app).
  • Tap Pair Apple Watch Manually on your iPhone.
  • Tap the info icon "i" on your Apple Watch (it will be shown now). Your device's name should be displayed on the watch face.
  • On your iPhone, tap the device name matching that shown on your Apple Watch face.
  • A six-digit code will be displayed on your Apple Watch. Enter that code on your iPhone to pair the two devices.
  • Then follow the remaining steps as prompted to Set Up.
