Q: Calendar Auto Deleting Events And Calendars

The problem started when I loaded a series of events on a shared calendar between my wife and I while I was at work for her to get the updates of my work schedule.  A few minutes later I started getting notifications that my wife had deleted the events.  I reloaded them, and had the same result.  A while later when I got home, I showed her what I was loading, and had her watch as the notifications came up that her account was deleting them.  As we were together with our phones and computers, whole calendars started disappearing as she had her calendar pulled up on her phone and MacBook, to the point that my wife has NO calendars left!  She had multiples for her business, meal planning, and daily life.  I brought even "i-device" we own into one room and no one else in the house (meaning my kids) were manipulating calendars or anything at all.  When my wife logs onto iCloud (the web site) there are no calendars listed on the iCloud website for her as well.  It's as if someone went through and deleted all her calendars and events.  Any ideas or thoughts as to what's going on here?  Thanks.

To anyone reading this, here is what happened to us.   We were guided by a technician on the phone with Apple Support to the iCloud website.  My wife went into her settings on her page, and we found a stray phone on there!!  This strange phone name did not belong to us, and we have no idea who it was.  This explains a few strange pictures that popped up in her Photo's folder of some guy in Italy.  Anyway, it seems that for some reason, today when I set my new events in my calendar, this person was getting the updates through my wife's Apple ID and deleted them, and then must have noticed my wife's calendars and deleted them as well.  Somehow, they were operating on her Apple ID.  Not sure how, but it seems like ALL of her other data is secure.  The strange photos showed up a few weeks ago, and we've had no issues with finances or lost data at all since these strange pictures.  Meaning, most people doing identity theft go after everything in a few minutes.  It seems like virtual crossed wires at some point.  This line crossing happened weeks ago, and nothing has happened.  So, through the iCloud website, then to Settings, on the bottom of the page is an option to restore Calendar Events.  So we just restored her calendars, changed all her info and passwords, and seem to be good to go now.  Really strange, but problem solved.

Lessons learned, the iCloud webpage has a lot of good info on it.  Try there as a resource to help answer your questions.

Glad to hear that things worked out for both you and your wife.  As a tip, you may want to enable two-step verification -- Frequently asked questions about two-step verification for Apple ID - Apple Support as an extra layer of protection to secure both your iCloud accounts from this ever occurring again.
