Q: System preferences

My System Preferences has been working for over an hour now looking for my password. Can I leave this thing working all night?

iPad 2, iOS 6.0.2

If your Mac seems to be working on a task for an unusually long time, you may want to check the Force Quit menu for an app (like System Preferences) that isn't responding.
 

Force an app to close on your Mac
