What is causing my Apple TV load times to be so slow?

My Apple TV is wired to my network. I have Verizon Fios Highspeed 50/50. So I know my internet speeds are NOT the issue here. It takes 15 minutes to start a song and I get errors when attempting to stream movies that just state "An error occurred loading this content". I installed the update when I set up my Apple TV today.


What do I do now?

I understand that your Apple TV has been slow to start a song and you are getting an error when trying to stream a movie. Because it doesn’t appear to you to be network related, I would first suggest the following troubleshooting steps.

If the issue continues after you restart your Apple TV, my next suggestion would be to restore your Apple TV and set it up fresh.
