iTunes will not sync apple music to ipod nano

I joined Apple Music. I want to to put the songs I purchase on my new 7th generation iPod Nano. It says you cannot sync Apple music on iPod, I f you want to listen to the song on your iPod turn on iCloud on your iPod.

I have a nano. I do not see an option to turn on iCloud on my nano. How can I put these songs on my Nano?

Apple why are you making syncing so difficult to use!?

It would have been nice to know this before I bought the Nano. And the only reason I bought the Nano was there are no iPods available in my area due to an upgrade being done on them? Plus, I only need the music for my car. I have an iPhone but I don't want my music interrupted because the phone rings. I understand what you are saying about copyright laws but maybe using Apple Music is a waste of money and I should just buy songs. I'm extremely disappointed that Apple forces iPod Nano users to buy songs in order to place them on the Nano.

Not sure if it's Apple that's doing the "forcing," since Apple had to negotiate with all the major producers to determine how Apple Music works. But Apple should make it more clear that songs downloaded from the Apple Music service cannot be synced to the currently sold iPod nano and shuffle.

I have a bunch of older iPods that I use regularly. I subscribe to Apple Music but buy songs too. I'm just more picky about what I buy these days, because I can listen to it (completely) before deciding to buy a song.

I was with Rhapsody for years. They came out with a few devices that allowed you to download songs you would normally stream on specific devices. You had to plug it in to their service every 10 days or so, but that's how they handled the stream vs owning. Apple has plenty of programers who could devise that for their players and they have plenty of negotiators that could work with the music publishers to arrange a similar contract. I go into places where a camera is not allowed and so cannot use AppleMusic on my phone, but I am unhappy that I have to buy songs that I should be able to use with a set-up like Rhapsody. I only left Rhapsody because they were unable to get some of my most favorite artists that Apple had managed to snag when Apple entered into the playing field of streaming. Apple please cut our costs down and support streaming on the devices that have no cameras so we can take advantage of all that AppleMusic has to offer.
