Dec 31, 2015 9:22 AM in response to FlaParrotHeadby FlaParrotHead,Let me add one point on the device connections. My iMac is a WIRED Ethernet connection while the Apple TV is WiFi. Both devices are on the same subnet although they are connected to different devices (the iMac to the broadband router and the AppleTV to an Airport AP, which is behind the broadband router).

Apple TVI don't think that changes my advice in any way.

When on my iMac and in iTunes, I can start a Movie and select it to play on my AppleTV. I have just confirmed that works fine. What I cannot do is "see" my iMac or iTunes library from the AppleTV "Computers" icon.

Apple TVThat's AirPlay, it's not the same as home sharing, have you tried all of the suggestions in all of the articles I have linked to for you.
