What is the characterics of a mac book pro battery from 2005?

Hello dear Mac community,

I am looking to replace the battery of my Mac Book pro from 2005, to give it to a student in Africa where I live.

Unfortunately, this computer is no longer supported by the apple due to its age.

So I would like to purchase a battery outside of apple.

Does any one know the characterics of a mac book pro battery from 2005? or any ideas of where i could purchase one?

If so I would be ever grateful!

No such thing as a Macbook Pro from 2005. The MacBook Pro line was first released in 2006. Before that they were PowerBooks.

The first thing to do, is to accurately identify the model of laptop you have. to determine the type of battery it requires.
