Q: how to know which disc for final cut is for which version

I had FCP7 on the mac pro and it crashed. I do have a back up but when I reload it it ask for codes. Do to 3 moves I only have 2 and dont know which disk set is which or what codes to enter. Can anyone help?

 

Had to load 10.6.8 from disk to get it running

Back up was with CCC

 

Please let me know if you need more info

I need help. I also had El Capitan blow up my Mac book pro the same week. it had 10 but I want 7 back.

    It depends.

    If you have an upgraded version of FCP,  then you will be prompted for two serial numbers - first, the full (non-upgrade) version you have, then the serial number for the upgrade.

     

    The serial numbers for FCS were located on stickers on the installation booklets that came with the installation DVDs.
