I deleted the cd-rom software and need to reinstall it? Can anyone help?!?!?

I was cleaning up memory and trashed the cd-rom icon b/c I needed the memory. Big mistake.
Do you mean when you insert a disc and it shows up on the desktop?
The driver is not accepting my cd-rom. Not sure if it's broken. I have to force the cd-rom in the drive but it won't read it. I had to get it serviced to get the disc out.
Sounds as if the dvd drive is defective. If you have to force a disc in and it won't read or eject. Not a software issue. Try this
