Q: Need help restoring deleted user account from TM backup

I accidentally deleted my entire user account. I do have a Time Machine backup from earlier this afternoon, before the user account deletion occurred. Could someone walk me through the steps to restore the account from my backup to my MBP? I've never done a restore of any type before and am also not sure if I should restore by selecting the user name from the earlier backup within Time Machine or if I should restore the user by using Migration Assistant from the TM backup. I'm running Yosemite, if that makes any difference. Thanks!

You will need to use migration assistant. Do not try to create a new user with the same name and password. let time machine recreate your old user from the backup. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204350
