Q: Calendar - duplicate entries

HELP!!  I have been researching this issue and am ready to give up.

Problem:  We have an iMAC, 2 iPads and 2 iPhones in use with 2 apple ids.  I had them synced to our iMac sharing a calendar.  The past few months something changed and all of our calendar entries started duplicating on the iMac.  (new iMac by the way).  I'm sure this is when it started but have no idea what was done and how to fix.  When my husband or I enter a new calendar entry it shows up twice on our iMac.  I have gone to his iCloud and mine to validate they only show up there once.  The last resort was to delete all calendars and start from scratch.  I did this and then did a test entry and dang it if there wasn't a duplicate entry on the iMac STILL.

Running OS X El Capitan on iMac, iPad 3 and iPad 4 along with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6plus all running most recent IOS.

Anyone have any ideas?  I thought for sure deleting and starting over would work but it did not.

Thanks!

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

    Greetings Ctran007,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you have several Apple devices with two different Apple IDs among them and one iMac. Recently the iMac has started duplicating Calendar entries and you are not sure why. I know situations like these can be frustrating and confusing, but we are here to help you get this all sorted out!

If i understand your situation correctly, the first troubleshooting I would suggest in this situation is located in the following article.

Get help with duplicate calendars or events on your iCloud calendar - Apple Support

If the issue continues, please let us know a little more about the situation.

        - Let us know which devices are set up with Apple ID “A” and which ones are set up with Apple ID “B”.

        - On your Mac from the menu bar, click on Calendar > Accounts. Which Apple ID is set up in Calendar? Are both Apple IDs set up here?

        - How did you start sharing the Calendar initially? Was it similar to the information in this article?

    Have a great day!
