Q: How to Power off my Panasonic TV with ATV4 remote?

I got ATV4 for Christmas. I was able to set up the volume control using the ATV4 remote. Is there a way to use the remote to power on and off my TV as well. If I can do that then I will not need to use the TV remote at all.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

If you would like to control the power function on your TV directly from your Apple TV remote, you may want to check to see if your particular TV model supports HDMI-CEC, as outlined and explained in the following article:
