Q: iPhone 6 waiting for activation IMessage and Facetime

I just got myself a Virgin Mobile iPhone 6. It works perfectly fine, I just can't seem to activate my iMessage and FaceTime. It keeps saying iMessage activation is unavailable and such. Does it take some time since I got iOS9 or something?

Did you already try the troubleshooting mentioned in this article?
If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support
