Q: Faulty Autolock on watch
After working perfectly for 8 months, my watch has started constantly auto locking and needing the passcode whilst firmly on my wrist.
- I've done a full reset
- I've switched off both the watch and phone then re-paired
- I've cleaned the sensors - which appear unamaged
- I've tightened the fit on the band
All the fitness tracking appears to be working properly - APART from the 'stand' measure, which isn't recording at all.
All ideas gratefully received - many thanks!

Hi Deb
Try disabling and re-enabling both Passcode and Wrist Detection (note that this will remove any cards that you may have added to Apple Pay on your watch):
- On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Wrist Detection - turn off.
- On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Passcode > tap on Turn Passcode off.
If this does not resolve the issue, then, given the steps that you have already tried, I suggest that you contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation with a view to having your watch checked under warranty:
