when i connect my headphones i am not able to listen songs in it it jst play out of my headphones, and when i call someone i am not able to listen any voice of him or her

when i plug in my headphones sound is jst played outside it does not accept headphones ,and when i call some one i am not able to hear any audio of ringing and other person just picks the call and i am not able to listen his or her voice and i do not get a speaker option to click on it so i am not anle to talk to anyone
