Latest IOS 9.2 update has caused unbearable noise on guitar and Mike inputs in GarageBand ( and in fact all amp sim programmes). I am using an Apogee One but I have heard of other interfaces with problems.

SOmething has changed in this update that needs fixed.  Three weeks now no solution. Apple very quiet on the subject

aapogee hopeless customer service

positive grid release an update that doesnt fix anything

iinvested in Apple and apogee (an apple only brand) as something that's meant to work well, how wrong was I......

Thanks for the heads up: Disaster. It's returned....

The newer version of the iPad software (9.2.1) is available, but I’m too afraid to Update. The new improved GarageBand magically made all the noise problems go away. FANTASTIC!

Now it seems after the update to 9.2.1, the problems will come back. Can anyone throw any light on this subject?

I have a Focusrite iTrack Solo which I use with my 3rd gen ipad for mobile recording with Cubasis. It was used before iOS9 and worked excellently with a Rode mic and electroacoustic guitar. After updating to 9 it is all snap crackle and pop (both channels). The Focusrite works flawlessly on my PC with Audacity with the same mic and guitar. I have tried different sample rates/ hardware latency/buffer size- nothing helps. About time this was sorted, Apple. This is holding up a number of projects.

I'm having the same problem, and I already send an email to the developers and costumers support team of it.

I'm using as audio interface, the IRig Pro working on the Ipad Mini (iOS Version 9.2.1) and having, glitches, weird noises, popping noises, all weird and not working properly as they should be working.

TC Helicon and IK Multimedia also thinks that the problem may have a connection with the iOS update.

So, I'm really lost and waiting for Apple to response about it and make a position on that trouble.

Because a lot of musicians and artists are paying for their apps, and interface, and Ipad, Iphone and all, because we all believe it that it's going to work well.

And then...BANG... came and Update, and became an Nightmare.

    Hi there,

I too have been running into non stop audio clicking while using a shure motiv microphone with my IPHONE.     I switched mic four times,  and tried different audio apps,  all to no avail.        Have been told it may have something to do with sound buffering.

Seems it is not the apps,    and it is not the microphones.     Similiar problems throughout this thread with a number of different devices and applications.   It has got to be in the phone and likely in the lightning connector for the microphone.    I am baffled and tired of trying to figure out what to do.

I like the phone and I like the mic,  but they don't seem to like each other.

I just wanted too add to this, that I am having the same issue with Garageband as well every music production app I have.  I just took the ios plunge YESTERDAY, to start doing my scratch tracks for my solo album, with guitar, and every app I have purchased crashes with the unbearable, amp with no guitar plugged in on 10, sound.  Apps play fine for a minute and then crash into a sea of hiss.  I have loaded, reloaded ios 9.2, updated to beta 9.3, uninstalled reinstalled, every app and they are all the same.  The only app I can get to work for awhile, is AMPkit and while it works, it sounds decent.  I also have BIAS Amp, Bias FX, Fiddlecator, Garageband, Jamup Pro, Amplitube, etc..  Basically anything that uses the mic is unusable,  I have shut of notifications, tried airplane mode, and everything else you can think of to no avail.  The interface I'm using is an IK IRIG HD and it works fine with Ampkit for awhile and even that crashes after awhile.  It has the 30 pin connector, and seems to work fine, when it works, low noise, good clarity, until the hiss comes in.  I really wanted this ios thing to work, I hope it isn't all for not.  I hope there is a solution soon.  A fool proof way I can recreate the problem, every time, is opening the tone cloud in Bias, I don't know why, but it causes instant crash hiss.  Thanks in advance.
