Changing Google Account Password

Hi All

I have just changed my Google account password by singing in to Google using a browser. Now I also need to change the password for my Google account in OS X, otherwise Mail.app can't access my Google account anymore.

How can I change the password in OS X? Mail, for instance, does not ask for a new password, it just shows a broken connection. If I go to Internet Accounts in Preferences and click on Google and then Details, it just shows me Description and Name, but no place where I could enter a password.

Hi All

I solved this problem by completely removing and re-adding my Google account. If that is the only way, it is really unbelievable. How difficult can it possibly be to implement a password change option?

Thanks for writing this. My only contention is that this isn't really a solution; it is a hacky workaround. The solution is fixing the software so it isn't garbage.

Agreed. This is very stupid of Apple because the ability to change the password from the internet accounts page was ALREADY THERE previously. They took away something useful for no reason.
