Jan 2, 2016 1:31 AM in response to robertharryby K Shaffer,Not sure about Lion OS X 10.7.5, but an iBooks Library was included in Mavericks OS X 10.9(.5)
• About iBooks - Apple Support
"Learn about iBooks for iOS and Mac, including how to get books and audiobooks
from the iBooks Store, how to organize your library, and more."
ibooks for Mac was introduced with Mavericks OS X 10.9; so your MacBook/Air information says
your 13-inch Mid 2011 has Lion OS X 10.7.5. The only current OS X version now that would
include this would be El Capitan, unless there's a backward compatible update for older OS X.
So if you have an iDevice that can use ibooks ebooks, ibook author or other newer products, then
they would likely need to be able to sync with your Mac computer product in an appropriate OS X.
The other question would be what are they, and what iOS do those iDevices current run? If you
upgrade too far in the iOS for devices, they may not see or sync with an older Mac OS X system.

I've asked the ASC hosts to relocate this post topic to an appropriate discussions area since it
was posted in the vintage Apple Portable computer section for iBook G3/G4 PowerPC hardware.
Not exactly the best location for this topic since they've not been produced since late 2005.
Good luck & happy computing!

Jan 2, 2016 1:39 AM in response to robertharryby Terence Devlin,The books are stored at
Home/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks/Books
But they're not useful to any other app or access in the format they are stored in there. To get a book as an ePub you'll need to drag it from the iBooks window to the desktop.

Jan 2, 2016 11:11 AM in response to Terence Devlinby robertharry,This answer does not help me. I have no idea where "Home" is located.
For dumb, stupid, old people you need to start at the beginning.
Where is "Home" located?

Jan 2, 2016 12:12 PM in response to robertharryby Terence Devlin,Home is your User Account:
So Hard Disk -> Users -> Your Name -> Library etc
But, as I said, the whole answer doesn't help as there is nothing you can do with those books in the way that they are stored.
You're welcome.
