reactivate a usb port?

hi,

i made the mistake of plugging in a usb hub into the back of my keyboard. i was prompted with a window that said there was too big a power load and that the port would be turned off. oops...this never happened with my previous g4...

is there a way to turn this keyboard port back on, or is it dead forever?

i thought about resetting the PRAM or SMC but i'm not 100% convinced this would work without screwing up the works.

can anyone suggest something? is there something i can enter into terminal? i've updated the firmware on this machine, will i have to redo this update?

thanks for any help!

cheers,
sean
