Does anyone know if the Pencil will also become available for other iPads (non-pro)?

    At this time, the Pencil requires the hardware only available on the iPad Pro. It is not a standard stylus in that sense. It is possible in the future that Apple could manufacture other iPads that would support the Pencil, but that would be speculation, which is forbidden on the forum.

    You are only talking to users here.

    No one here knows ANYTHING about what Apple will do or won't do.

    I am using an Adonit Jot Touch w/pixelpoint with my iPad Pro and it works great!

    If you need a good working Bluetooth smart stylus for your non-iPad Pro model, look at Adonit's offerings.
