Q: need to transfer all files from mid-2007 iMac to 2015 iMac

Quickest, easiest way to transfer all data from a mid-2007 iMac that has usb & firewire to my new 2015 iMac that has thunderbolt.

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter or use an Ethernet cable to connect the two. Thunderbolt is faster. Move your content to a new Mac - Apple Support
