What issues? When, Error messages? What are you doing when these occur? How much memory do you have? What are you running? What model/year computer?

if your WorkFlow 'requires' more system resources than you have, increasing your onboard RAM to the maximum it will take will likely solve your problem to a great extent

OS X will use as much memory as it can and release it to applications as they request it. This is a good thing, you don't want to have a lot of unused memory, you WANT your system to use all of the available resources in order to do things faster and more efficiently.
