Q: Bluetooth car connection issue

This may be an issue with the bluetooth device and not my iPhone, but I thought I would ask on here just in case!

I have had a Novero Trustyone bluetooth hands-free in my car since I bought it 4 years ago, and I have never had a single problem with it, and mainly use it to play my iPhone music through my car speakers.

Skipping from one song to the other is usually instant, but suddenly about 2 weeks ago whilst I am listening to music, when I skip to the next track, there is about a 5 second delay in audio. The next song then starts from about 3 seconds into the song, and then if I want to skip to the next track I have wait about another 5 seconds before it will let me. I know this might not seem like the biggest problem in the world, but it is frustrating having to wait 10 seconds every time you want to skip a song, especially if you get 3 or 4 in a row that you want to skip.

The phone I am currently pairing with the hands-free is an iPhone 6 but this is not the first iPhone I have had paired, and none have had any issues, and this current iPhone has been problem free since I got it over a year ago.

To check it wasn't somehow the controls on the Novero device itself causing the delay, I also tried having the song skipped on the actual iPhone, and Apple Watch, and all 3 had the same issue.

No settings have changed on the iPhone, the skipping tracks works perfect when playing music normally or through wired headphones.

Has anyone heard of anything similar before???

Thank you!!

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2
