fan making zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz too loud

i didnt notice it before so maybe its new since i updated the firmware.
THe fan is making a lot of noise, its audible from a large distance, you here it zooming pretty loud.

Is this something i can fix??????

Macbook 2gb ram, Mac OS X (10.4.6), 60gb hd

I'm a fraid not - sounds like a faulty fan, perhaps the bearings - call apple care and have the fan replaced. I would not recommend opening it up as it may void warranty.

I suggest sending it i for repair. Trying to fix it yourself will void the warranty.

I experience this as well, but onnly when I am running a number of applications, especially movies.

My question would be, do you always experience the lound noise, or does it depend on what you are doing with you computer?
