I have an old iPod 4 I want to reset so my sister can use. The iPod says, "Connect to iTunes." I cannot connect to iTunes because the charging port to my iPod is broken and doesn't connect to the computer (I turn it off to charge it, but this does not work to connect to the computer). I am wondering if there is anyway to reset an iPod without iTunes.

When you say "iPod 4," is this an old 4th gen iPod from around 2004-5? Or an "iPod touch" (4th gen), which is in your profile into?
If this is an iPod touch, and you want to erase all content and settings, there is a way to do it on the device without using iTunes.

if we're talking about an iPod touch, reset it by going to settings -> general -> reset and resetting everything. That should work.
