I understand that you are using a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable to connect your Mac to your TV, but it is no longer working as expected. To begin troubleshooting this situation, I would recommend reading over and working through the steps in the following article.
The section titled If the display image is blank or unusable may be most beneficial to you, but I would recommend reading over the entire article.
