Found Windows 10 install.esd in different location

Hi everyone

I'm installing Windows 10 over Windows 7 and wanted to make an instal disc. Thoroughly researched on how to do it (Show Hidden Files etc) but after Windows 10 downloaded I could not find "Install.esd" in C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources. I read somewhere there is 30 seconds to get the file copied to another folder, tearing my hair out can't find it

While the Windows 10 Install window is sitting there waiting for me to "Accept" and continue I did a search and found an "install.esd" file in

C:\ESD\Windows\Sources\install.esd

But is this the right file to make an install disk out of?

I saved the install.esd from my MBP and one from a Lenovo (did not delete itself) I was able to extract the iso from the Lenovo but not from mine. All I have to do now is get it onto the USB (which I formatted for it)

I know I chose the harder way to do this but it wasn't any easier. As I go along I discover there's something else I have to download, something else I have to do and now the monthly data allowance has been used up

I read somewhere that getting the iso onto the USB in Disk Utility will create a machine-specific installer, but doing it on a Windows machine will be generic (is that the right term?)

A couple of other things to mention - When I was waiting for Windows 10 to download, I had a window open where I knew the install.esd file would be. I saw the folder populate with files and folders and I scrolled to where it should be but I didn't see it at all. But as mentioned I found one just like it in a folder named "ESD" The Lenovo did not have a folder named ESD and the "install.esd" file from both machines are about the same size. I'm pondering if mine is the right file, but a Bootcamp version

My plan was to capture the install.esd file and make a bootable USB installer out of it and install Windows 10 maybe at a later time. But due to the situation I went ahead and installed it. I thought Windows 7 was bad but they're just getting worse

Not to worry I went to the Optometrist today
