I change my phone recently and I backed up my phone from icloud. Today i checked when was the last time it was backed up it was a day before i got my new phone. It has the latest ios software and even try it on itunes and see whats going on but when ever I click on backup on icloud it turns off on my phone.

You want to control icloud backups directly on the phone.
go to settings - icloud - backup and try to click "backup now" button - and see what happens.
Depending on the message you may have to react.
Its turned off. It's not giving me the option of turning back on. When I do it through iTunes i click on backup on iCloud option it turns on but when I disconnected my phone from my laptop. Then I go to my backup option and try to backup but immidiately it turns off when i click to backup.
You want to check if you have restrictions or profile setup on the phone by your employer or school. If it is them who do not allow to backup - there is not much you can do, but if there is no restrictions. Sometimes corporate exchange accounts stop backup to icloud.
Ok so how can I find this information out?
Turn off restrictions - settings general restrictions
Verify profile settings in settings general - profile
and check your mail accounts if any of them work/school exchange.
My restriction is off, my info is up to date, and this phone is a personal phone not for school or work related.
Then there is something wrong with software of your phone if it does not allow you to turn icloud backup on. You may have to try to setup your phone as new instead of restoring from backup.
Before you do that try one more thing. In settings general there is background app refresh - try to turn it off and restart your phone. If the phone restarts and it is still turned off, try to turn icloud backup back on.
