i want to use my App Store Gift card. The total amount of the card has been added to my account. How do I complete the transaction for a new app?

I am trying to purchase ""Explain Everything" app for my ipad. My ipad air is version 8.4.1. My Mac Book Pro is 10.6.8 and cannot be updated.

Can I just load this app on my ipad? Or must my computer also be compatible?

I am using an app store gift card which is already been added to my account. It is the first time i have used a gift card and the transaction cannot be completed.

As long as you aren't a family organiser in family sharing then your account's balance should automatically be used for the purchase - and you should be able to do directly on your iPad

If by ' transaction cannot be completed' you mean that you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then you will need to do so (these are user-to-user forums) :

- go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww

- click on your country's flag

- click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column

- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
