Os X El Capitan: How can i get iMovie without paying?

Hi,

i own a MacBook Air, bought on 28 November 2014.

In order to get more space on the ssd, i removed iMovie. Then i upgraded to El Capitan, and i should use iMovie to edit my family videos.

Trying to download iMovie from the App Store, i see that now it costs 14,99€.

My question is: can i obtain somehow that app, considering that I paid it, buying the MacBook?

Thank to everyone who will help me,

have a nice 2016!

iMovie should appear together with a download button under the Purchases tab of the App Store when you sign in with the same Apple ID as was used by the original owner of the mac. Rights to the software are not transferable to other apple IDs.

It is just possible that the app is hidden in the App Store. To unhide see: Hide and unhide purchases in the Mac App Store - Apple Support
