Hello Winston
Thank you for your reply!
Homesharing:
Apples Homesharing is the solution i don't want to use. With my technical experience, it must not be necessary to start up a third system (computer) for playing slideshows in my environment -> Apple TV 4 and NAS Online. Its waste of resources, if i have a server like a NAS running and Apple TV 4 as client system, which in principle is able to access the data on a NAS. Infuse solved this for videos, so i believe it must be possible to solve this use-case for photos.
The Plex Client is still installed on my Apple TV 4. To access my NAS data with Apple TV 4 Plex Client, i installed the Plex Server in my NAS. Everything fine here too. I can play video and can select my photos. But the Apple TV 4 Plex Client isn't able to play slideshows - right now in my tests. It doesn't load next picture automatically. Do you have other information about it? Maybe i make something wrong with the use of the Plex Client. If i select a folder with photo's inside and press the Play Button on the Apple TV 4 Remote, nothing happens. If i browse into the folder, with the first photo selected and press the Play Button, only the selected picture is opened. Nothing more... In principle, the Plex Client can be a solution for me, if the slideshow function will work.
Hmmmm, you see, it is not that simple like it seem to be. Sorry for my further questions, but i believe in Apple and want to get that migration to work. But i need a bit help to get some simple use-cases running. Do some insider information exit about coming Apps that can solve this? Does somebody know if the slideshow feature in the Plex Client must run in actual version? This is the only feature i must have.
Thank you all again in advance,
Jörg
