Q: QuickTime still on v 10.3 after newest El Capitan update? Help!

Hello

I recently updated my Macbook Pro to OS X El Capitan 10.9.5. After this I thought that my QuickTime Player would also update to QuickTime v 10.4, but it is still on 10.3. And I cannot for the life of me figure out why... I really need 10.4 to be able to record gameplay from my iPad and iPhone as the option never comes up in my my current QuickTime 10.3 version. Please help if you can!

Try updating QuickTime by following the directions in the link below.

How to get software updates for your Mac - Apple Support

Thank you, Austin, but I still can't find out what to do. QuickTime Player should be updated automatically with big upgrades and that's that... Can't find any manual options. Might just have to reinstall the whole OS :-(
