Hi ValMineFirst,
I understand you'd like to know if Touch ID is slower when you add more fingerprints. It could be possible, but it shouldn't be extremely slow. I've also included some helpful information below in this post that can help you if you have problems with Touch ID, or if it's slow:
Helpful information:
- Remember, lotions, to even dry skin can affect touch ID, as well as certain activities like showering.
- Make sure your fingers are clean and dry before using Touch ID.
- In order for Touch ID to activate, it needs to sense your finger. By putting your finger on the metal ring, it tells touch ID to start reading your fingerprint.
- Remove any accessories, or screen protectors that might be covering the metal ring or the home button.
- Try enrolling a different finger
- Cover your finger over the home button completely, and touching the metal ring.
While Touch ID is scanning, don't press on the home button too hard, or tap too quickly, or move your finger around.
- Make sure the home button and metal ring are clean, and dry.
- Clean the home button and metal ring with a clean, lint free dust cloth to remove any debris or dirt.
- Make sure you're using the latest iOS version too.
I use Touch ID most of the time on my iPhone, and I've noticed that if the home button isn't clean it can be harder for Touch ID to scan your finger, so I would definitely recommend cleaning the home button every once in a while so it's much easier for Touch ID to scan your fingers.
I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
🙂
