Trying to Create Bootable USB, Installer transfer painfully slow?

I have tried the terminal script on two different machines and two different USB Drives. The process works well until "Copying Installer Files to Disk..."

The transfer is painfully slow. Approximately 15MB Per hour? What am I doing wrong?

The USB is 16gb and brand new. I have also tried the DiskMaker program with the exact same results.....
