Just received a message saying I have 3 viruses and to click to download MacKeeper - I seem to remember there was an issues with MacKeeper? Is this a legit application?

Thanks, thought i had seen something indicating that a few months ago!
OS X has no software installed from Apple (including the Safari browser) that will pop up and advise you of a virus or adware. That is all Internet deceptionware attempting to get past your common sense, privacy, and bank account. You need to be careful what you mouse over, or click on any website.
