Q: Red Camera/Final Cut for Mac Notebook

In  purchasing a notebook, what's more important to consider when using Final Cut to edit with the Red Camera? Overall ghz speed or flash memory storage? And is AMD of NVIDIA preferable?

It's not just one thing, as the "system" relies on all parts for overall performance.

You'll want a MBP, max out its RAM, SSD storage internally for OS and app performance, Thunderbolt or USB 3 drive (very fast drives and/or RAID) for Projects and media, and you don't have much choice of GPU, but you'll want the best you can get.

All that said, RECODE and other 4K+ formats squeak by on laptops.  They simply don't have the power of a desktop.
