Is the Blue Yeti USB Microphone compatible with iPad Air?

HI all,

i recently purchased a Blue Yeti USB Microphone after reading it was compatible with an iPad Air (iOS 9.2) using a powered USB hub and necessary cables.

I have the mic plugged into the powered USB hub via provided cable, the iPad plugged into the hub via iPad charging cable and the hub plugged into a power outlet via the provided adapter. The iPad, however, doesn't seem to recognize the mic at all. Is there something I'm missing or something I possibly didn't consider?

Any help at all on this would very much appreciated.

Happy 2016!

According to Blue's website, all their mikes are compatible. They do however say that not all powered USB hubs will work. They don't say why or how to know if your choice will. They do mention a Belkin 4 port.

The other thing I noticed... they are using the analog 30PIN connector on an iPad 2. Maybe the digital lightning connector is not compatible.
