Q: YouTube video will not remove audio

Hello,

I am not using iMovie for Mac, but I was wondering if I could still get some help for iPhone 6s

i have uploaded a youtube video to one of my projects and would like to remove the audio.

Unfortunately  detaching the audio from the video and deleting it, it would duplicate itself.

while in the project it runs fine but when I'm watching the clip on theatre it plays it original audio.

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.2

I may not be fully understanding what you're trying to do, but if you just don't want to hear the audio, you don't actually need to detach it from the original clip. Instead, just tap the video clip (from which you do not want to hear the audio) and tap on the speaker icon under the timeline. Next tap the speaker icon that appears to the left of the volume slider. This should mute the audio for that clip.  (You can delete the detached audio if you don't need it)

If your saying the sound is in fact muted and you don't hear it while playing back during editing, but you still hear it after exporting your movie, I would suspect there is a bug in the software or perhaps an incompatibility with the original file. In either case, you could report it to Apple here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/imovie_ios.html

    Hope that helps!
