iPhone 4s Home Button no longer working after IOS9 Update

Hi

I am a bit annoyed because Apple forced me to update my IOS to the new version and now my home button isnt working.

I was perfectly happy on IOS 8 but kept getting this daily reminder saying "upgrade now or later?" so in exasperation one day I updated. Big mistake! The phone is now slow and the Home Button is unresponsive. I have put a home button on my screen but it just makes the phone more complicated than it needs to.

I have tried recalibrating the home button and that works for a brief time but then goes back to how it was.

Im a new Mum & cant afford to buy a new iphone because apple felt it was time to render my handset difficult to use so that I have to but a new one.

Hi

Chrisy try a reboot press & hold power button & menu button

Hold both down for upto 30 seconds ..

If this doesn't help go to settings - iCloud - backup now

Then restore back to factory settings.

Set backup over your WiFi use same apple ID & iCloud back up

To get your apps & data back .

Do this when baby is asleep .

Hi

Thanks for your help. I tried as you suggested and it helped for about a day and then went back to normal.

However, I am happy to report that I upgraded to IOS 9.1.2 and it fixed the issue. But I am disappointed to say that since that upgrade I have now lost any sounds coming from my phone unless I have headphones in.

I know its not that my phone is broken because it was fine before the update. I just wish Apple would have more robust testing systems so they done fix issues and then cause other issues. Its getting wearing. I have done a hard reset and it hasn't helped.
