iPhone 6s Video recording, audio faded out

Hi Everyone,

I noticed after I recorded the video during the playback that in the video at some point the sound is faded out. So technically it is not so sharp (but goes back to normal after several seconds) then it should be, I don't remember I covered up the microphone, it sounds like I did, but if that is not the case can you help what should be the solution. My iphone 6s is 2 months old, hope it is not faulty. Please check my video below. 1:38-2:55 The sound fluctuates. Is it normal or is it a faulty phone?

Hi bence2005,

From the video you provided, I was able to hear the audio without it sounding faint. If you'd like to test your microphone, open Voice memos and tap the Record icon. Then speak into the microphone and then tap the play icon to play back the recording. You should be able to hear your voice clearly. If the problem is on your iPhone, the microphone near the iSight camera might've been blocked or covered by your fingers (accidentally) or other accessories (maybe a phone case.) Check the microphone by looking at the iSight camera that's on the back of your iPhone on the top left corner.

Other tips recommended by Apple are:

Unplugging any accessory in the headset jack
Avoid blocking the microphone and iSight microphone when holding the phone, or recording a video
Remove things such as screen protectors, cases that cover the iSight mic, or iPhone receiver
Make sure you're using the latest iOS Version
Settings > General > Software Update
- If you're using the latest iOS version, you'll see a message saying "Your software is up to date."
Restart your iOS Device
- Press and hold on the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears
- Drag the red slider to completely power off your iPhone
- Once the iPhone is off, press and hold on the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears
