Safari unable to establish a secure connection with Target Red Card.

I am running OS X 10.8.5 using Safari 6.2.8. I recently began getting an error when I try to logon into Target Red Card - www.rcam.target.com. The error message says Safari cannot establish a secure connection. How can I fix this?

Based on my discussion with Target this morning we cannot fix this. Per Target, Safari instituted additional security measures the beginning of this year (2016). (Thank you Safari.) Target cannot work within the updated security. Target is working on the problem but they have had this problem for three weeks already. Target suggested I use another WebBrowser - I said no thank you and to put me back on paper statements. If Target can't work within the new security expected with Safari that implies perhaps they aren't very secure with other browsers. Target did not email their online customers this info and when I asked they said they weren't planning on emailing their online customers when the problem is fixed! They suggested I just keep checking their website. I'm disappointed with Target.
